Protesters in Sri Lanka stormed and occupied the residences of President Gotabaya Rajapaksa and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe on July 9, 2022.

斯里兰卡最近国家破产，公务员都必须在家上班，节省办公费用，学校停课，因为印卷子的钱都没有了。2022年7月9日，斯里兰卡抗议的抗议民众占领了总统和总理在首都的官邸。斯里兰卡总统和总理已经逃离首都，并且表示愿意辞职。斯里兰卡民众在占领的官邸游泳和打牌，享受生活。

Thousands had taken to the streets of the capital Colombo earlier in the day to demand the resignations of the men who have faced months of protests amid accusations they have mismanaged the nation’s economy. The president has promised to step down on 13 July and the prime minister said he will leave office once a new government is in place.

成千上万的示威者占领了斯里兰卡首都科伦坡的大街小巷，要求总统和总理辞职，他们此前已经抗议示威了几个月，他们认为这两人对国家经济管理不善，是造成当前经济形势的元凶。斯里兰卡总统已经提出在7月13日辞职，其总理也表示会在新政府成立之后辞职。

Sri Lanka faces its worst economic crisis since it gained independence from Britain in 1948, and has struggled for months with shortages of food, fuel and medicine. Now bankrupt, the nation relies on aid from India and other countries and is holding talks with the International Monetary Fund on a possible bailout.

斯里兰卡当前面临着自1948年从英国殖民地独立之后最严重的经济危机，而且全国2200万民众过去几个月在食品、燃料、和药品等生活物质短缺中挣扎。斯里兰卡的通胀率跟去年相比上升了54.6%。现在斯里兰卡破产了，依靠中国、印度等国家的救济过活，而且想让国际货币组织帮助他们过难关。
