Hong Kong is set to scrap its mandatory hotel quarantine, ending more than two years of strict COVID-19 travel curbs that have isolated the once-thriving financial hub. A prolonged border closure has hit hard and left the city at a disadvantage in the region, so the departure from China's zero-COVID policy is a long-awaited decision. From Sep 26, arrivals at Hong Kong International Airport only have to monitor themselves for three days.
